Kassie Welch

Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy

Kassie is based in Virginia Beach and provides online therapy for couples and individuals in Virginia and Florida. She primarily works with couples who care deeply about their relationship but find themselves caught in repeating patterns around communication, trust, anxiety, money, ADHD-impacted dynamics, or major life transitions.

Her work is structured, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based approaches, including the Gottman Method (Levels I and II), with additional training in trauma and betrayal recovery. Kassie integrates attachment-based and systemic perspectives to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, communicate more effectively, and build practical changes that support healthier relationships over time.

Before pursuing a long-held calling to become a therapist, Kassie spent more than two decades as a Realtor and Mortgage Consultant, helping individuals and couples navigate major financial decisions and life transitions. While the work centered on homeownership, what mattered most was helping people create stability during uncertain times. This experience informs her interest in Financial Therapy and her understanding of how money, security, and relationships often become deeply intertwined.

Kassie believes our closest relationships should be a source of support rather than another source of stress. Her goal is to help couples create greater understanding, emotional safety, and connection so they can face life's challenges together rather than alone. She views therapy as a partnership that is steady, intentional, and focused on helping people move from insight to meaningful, sustainable change.
